Biography

Wiliam (Bill) Enns was born on January 1st, 1923 and grew up in Greenfarm, north of Winkler, Manitoba. He was a conscientious objector, serving initially as an orderly at a Portage la Prairie hospital and finally overseas as a medic in the Second World War.

After the war he graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Manitoba. He worked as the Winnipeg School Division architect for 30 years, serving as a consultant on buildings designed by a range of architects, and also designing some school buildings himself. He retired in 1984.
