Ralph Thompson

Biography

Ralph Thompson was born on August 8, 1920 in Leamington, West Sussex, England. A 1945 Gold Medalist graduate of the University of Manitoba Faculty of Architecture, his working career was spent with GBR Architects. His major projects include the Winnipeg International Airport, Polo Park Shopping Centre, St. Boniface Hospital, Grace General Hospital, Health Sciences Centre, buildings at Brandon University, University of Winnipeg and the Science, Math and UMSU buildings at the University of Manitoba. He was made Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada in 1990.
