Design Characteristics
Suburb: | Fort Garry |
---|
- Constructed in 1955 of wood frame with face brick, it was built in two main sections meeting at the main entrance at a right angle, with the older section running along Crane Ave. and the slightly newer portion from either 1955 or 1958 running perpendicular to the rear along the west side
- Although the original larger windows have been replaced, the facade retains its period character and grace, certainly enhanced with mature trees and carefully tended gardens; the school has benefitted from a high level of maintenance
- It is in a large yard with woods behind; there is a good play structure and asphalt area
