  • Sacré Coeur is an old institution which began in c.1905 as a parochial school for boys and girls, run by a religious order and attached to a Catholic parish of the same name; they had a new school constructed on this site in 1961 and by 1973 it was re-opened as the first French immersion school in Manitoba and currently has 300 students from several school division
  • Sacré Coeur was then purchased by the Winnipeg School Division as part of their growing immersion program and in 1993, a large addition was made to the school and the older sections reworked into the new design
  • There is nothing visible from the 1961 GBR design
